LeapThought’s FulcrumHQ has been implemented by the Land Transport Authority (LTA), a statutory board that plans, builds, and maintains Singapore’s land transport infrastructure and systems, as their Common Data Environment (CDE) to receive the high-level ISO 19650 certification.
The ISO 19650 standard is an international standard for managing information over the whole life cycle of a built asset using building information modelling (BIM). BIM requires a collaborative process for managing, sharing, and storing information within a CDE platform such as FulcrumHQ – which powers the LTA’s collaboration platform InSIGHT.
FulcrumHQ sets up LTA to ensure that the right people work on the right information at the right time, having a positive impact on the project delivery time, budget, and standards.
This achievement also paves the way for two new rail lines, Jurong Regional Line and Cross Island Rail Line, in Singapore to be designed, built, commissioned and set up for operation in revolutionary ways ahead of other transport authorities around the world.
Being the first within Asia and the second transport authority within the world to be certified as ISO 19650-compliant demonstrates the LTA’s adherence to an internationally recognized standard for BIM. It also showcases a commitment to following best practices and enables the reduction of unnecessary costs.
This is a significant milestone for LTA, LeapThought and broader LTA ecosystem made up of AEC vendors (consultants, contractors, PTOs and the supply chain). Our customers benefit from best practice and turnkey offering FulcrumHQ provides in transforming the organizational processes, data and information quality for design, construction and operations in ways that are compliant with the standard.
