Recently, the LeapThought team hosted a delegation from Hong Kong’s Construction Industry Council (CIC) as part of their Digitalization Study Tour in Singapore. The delegation included Prof. Jack Cheng from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Aaron Chan from P&T Architects and Engineers Ltd, Rosana Wong from Yau Lee Holdings Limited, Kevin Wong from The Hong Kong Institute of Building Information Modelling (HKIBIM), Neil Wong from the Resident Site Staff Association, and Karen Cheung from the Buildings Department of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
During the visit, we conducted an executive briefing on CORENET X, the world’s first fully digital, all-of-government automated and coordinated regulatory submission and approval processing system. Powered by FULCRUMHQ, CORENET X streamlines regulatory submissions across eight agencies by integrating automated checks and BIM-enabled processes. Using advanced computational geometry and BIM algorithms, the system enhances transparency, expedites submissions, and ensures compliance with standardized requirements across regulatory agencies and Codes of Practice.
Budi Susanto, General Manager of LeapThought Asia, emphasized the need for collaboration across all levels of the industry. “The key to uplifting regulatory design checks and approvals is having policymakers, regulators, developers, designers, and contractors understand the complexities and work together," he said.
